Agile Transformations

If you are trying to deliver a large (or small) organisational transformation in an environment with a high level of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity), you may find the traditional MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) approach requires a greater level of 'planning up front' than your context is ready for.  You may like the idea of a more flexible agile approach to feel your way through your transformation, yet the inherent uncertainty this approach brings may not sit well with your more planful stakeholders.  Combining the best of each element may provide you with an appropriate level of far term visioning, sufficient clarity into the future for other teams to plan against yet maintaining the ability to flex the route to get there while you feel your way through the early stages of experimentation and delivery.

Step 1: Getting started

Start a top-down approach here.  There is a need for an initiative to transform your organisation.  Build the senior leadership team and top-level governance then work out roughly what the heck you would like to achieve.
